Certified Mediator and Arbitrator?
Dr. June Donaldson provides conference presentations, workshops, seminars and consulting to a wide variety of clients in both the private and public sector.; Her work has taken her throughout North America, the Asia Pacific and Caribbean.
June’s business and academic experience, particularly in the area of emotional intelligence; her motivating and encouraging style; and her mediation, arbitration, and conflict management background enables her to bring diverse and common sense perspectives to her clients and their issues.
June focuses her work on the enhancement of emotional intelligence (EI, EQ), or as she calls it “Emotional SMARTS!®”, and the integration of this important research with critical business initiatives such as:
change management, leadership, team building, customer service and sales, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and conflict management.
In addition to the above, as a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator trained by the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society, June provides Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services such as mediation and arbitration, conflict management systems design, neutral investigations, and related workshops.
Corporately, June has had, and is having, a dynamic and successful career. She was one of the first women sales representatives with IBM in Canada. She then became one of the first women managers in the information technology industry. In 1987, she established Donaldson & Associates, Inc., a company designed to provide high value consulting, keynote speeches, workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics critical to business success. Over the years, as a successful international entrepreneur, June has consistently achieved observable and measurable results for her clients.
Academically, June has a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University; a Diploma in Conflict Management from the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington; and a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a specialization in adult learning.
Dr. Donaldson has served in Rotary Club community activities and on a variety of Board positions ranging from establishing a Federal Government loan fund for women entrepreneurs through to Enviros, an organization that provides services to troubled young people. Dr. June has received nominations for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Small Business Owner of the Year; the YWCA Woman of Distinction; and for the Canadian Women Entrepreneur of the Year. Of late, Dr. June was invited to participate in the Prime Minister’s Task Force on Women Entrepreneurs and currently she is a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF) a world wide organization of pre-eminent women dedicated to advancing women’s leadership across careers, cultures and continents.
