1. Change Management
Dr. June believes many people in the workplace are fearful, frustrated,
and fatigued as a result of unrelenting personal and professional
change. They are fearful at what the future holds; they are frustrated
at having lost their organizational "voice"; and they
are fatigued from having dealt with years of uncertainty and heavy
responsibilities. The presentation "Moving Through Change
with Emotional SMARTS®" can rekindle people’s spirit,
strength, and commitment. (For more information, please refer to Change Management, Moving Through Change with Emotional
SMARTS® (Read Article PDF 21KB)
2. Emotional Intelligence
Dr. June Donaldson’s model, book, self-scoring profile,
two-day workshop, keynote and conference presentation of Emotional
SMARTS® relates to emotional intelligence. Her model is at
the foundation of people getting and keeping themselves grounded,
centered, and focused as they achieve their view of personal and
professional success.
Dr. June’s "de-acamademicacized" model discusses the
A, B, C, D, of Emotional Smarts®. It relates to Awareness
skills, Behavioural skills, Contact or connection
skills, and Decision Making skills - all critical cornerstones
in applying one’s wisdom to their emotions. For
more information this timely, extremely well received and high value concept, please refer to Redefining
Personal and Professional Competence using Your Emotional SMARTS® (Read Article PDF 31KB)
3. Conflict Management
Conflict, left unrecognized, unacknowledged, and unmanaged, can
create a corporate crisis. Dr. June Donaldson believes people need
to understand concepts of emotional intelligence, gender differences,
behavioural styles, communication skills, and the art of "letting
go", "dealing with" or "rising above" so
they can productively and professionally respond to personal and
professional conflict. For more
information, please refer to two articles: Negotiating and Managing Conflict using Your Emotional
SMARTS ® (Read Article PDF 33KB) and Alternative Dispute Resolution – Managing Conflict with Emotional
SMARTS ®(Read Article PDF 22KB).
4. Seminars, Workshops, Conferences
Dr. June Donaldson provides workshops and conference presentations
on Emotional SMARTS® relating to emotional intelligence, change
management, leadership, team building, customer sales and service,
negotiation and conflict management. Dr. June is a seasoned business
professional having spent many years in the information technology
industry (primarily IBM Canada Ltd.) and as an entrepreneur. She
has finalized her credentials as a qualified negotiator and chartered
mediator. She will now integrate emotional intelligence research
with conflict, negotiation, and mediation strategies. Call to learn
more about the options available to you and your organization.
5. Leadership development and skills
Leadership means many things to many people, but some common defining
traits relate to people who are able to maximize positive behaviours
from others, manage change, deal with cultural, demographic, and
gender diversity, demonstrate emotional intelligence or Emotional
SMARTS®, make decisions based on the "big picture" and
achieve results necessary to create productive, prosperous, and
pleasant places to work. Dr. June Donaldson believes people can
learn how to lead when given opportunity to explore and apply these
concepts. Call to learn more about customized leadership development offerings.
6. Negotiation and Mediation
Much of being able to negotiate and mediate effectively has to
do with getting out of one’s own way. Throughout the process
people need to continually look at the "big picture" end
result stemming from their attitudes and actions. It also means
people need to put their own agenda to the side as they listen,
demonstrate empathy, and explore positions, interests, and outcomes.
This can be hard to do – particularly if one is not demonstrating their emotional intelligence and they fall
into the trap of loving to hate “the other guy!” instead of moving the difficult situation to an acceptable
conclusion (so they can get on with their life!). As a certified mediator and arbitrator, Dr. June helps
people look at the “big picture” and the long term prices. She then creates opportunities for most
conflicted parties to arrive at an outcome they can both comfortably live with. For more information,
please refer to Alternative Dispute Resolution (Read Article PDF 22KB) and Negotiating and Managing Conflict using
Your Emotional SMARTS® (Read Article PDF 33KB).
7. Sales Management
Sales Management is challenging because the profession of sales
attracts spirited, focused, independent, goal driven, relationship
oriented individuals who tend to "live outside the box".
To lead these people, an individual must be able to listen, stimulate,
problem solve, and encourage others, while also tending to the
process side of running the business. Dr. June Donaldson spent
much of her career in sales (primarily with IBM Canada Ltd. ) and
sales management. She understands the front line challenges of
being able to integrate people issues with procedural necessities.
Call to see how Dr. June can be of service to your organization.
8. Sales Training
It’s been said, "life is one long sales call".
Whether one is "selling" an idea, a theory, concept,
product, service, or themselves, an underlying philosophy of sales
is that people will only "buy" when there is something
in it for them, both personally and professionally. Dr. June Donaldson’s
sales course outlines an easy to understand and apply step-by-step
process to assist sales professionals in evolving their sales call
in a timely, efficient, comfortable, and results oriented manner.
The end result of this process is that it makes it easy for the
client to "buy" and the sales person to "shine".

Dr. June today.
9. Team Building
The ability to work in and with a team is a core competency in
any industry. To be an effective team player, individuals needs
to understand their behavioural style and the style of others with
whom they work and live. They also need to understand the importance
of organizations having a balance of behavioural styles, so that
appropriate checks and balances occur in the transacting of business
and the building of internal and external relationships. Dr. June
Donaldson presents team-building concepts that make people think
- not only about what they need from the system, but what they
can give to the system, and how to act appropriately while doing
so. Please call or e-mail Dr. June Donaldson, or refer
